This is an important, and sometimes very dark, story wrapped in a super readable airport or “chick lit” wrapper. The main character becomes addicted to pills and then has to admit it. And in the meantime, she puts on a recognizable parade of lies to everyone in her life, including herself. I found it really thoughtful that the main character has everything together in her life. This is a common true story, but one rarely seen in media about drug use.
